Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr. inherited the Pekiti Tirsia Kali system from his grandfather, Grand Tuhon Conrado B. Tortal, under whom he trained since the age of 6. Grand Tuhon Gaje began teaching Pekiti Tirsia Kali in 1972, introduced full contact stickfighting throughout the United States. Grand Tuhon Gaje is certified by the US Criminal Justice System Training Association and of the United States Police Defensive Tactics Training Association.
Grand Tuhon Gaje is widely recognized as one of the top edged weapons instructors
in the world, and served as a technical advisor for the "Surviving
Edged Weapons" law enforcement training video.

Tuhon Rommel Tortal began his training in the Pekiti Tirsia Kali system in 1984 under his uncle, Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje. He later became a member of the legendary Dogeaters PTK group in their hometown in Negros. He was teaching the Philippine Marines as their edged and impact weapons instructor in 2002 when he began teaching Pekiti Tirsia Kali to civilians, starting with the Manila Pitbulls group. He also founded Pekiti Tirsia Kali training groups in the Philippine Police Special Action Force and other military units.
When not touring and conducting seminars, Tuhon Rommel teaching classes at Pekiti Tirsia Kali Manila - Main and its affiliate training groups.

A Certified Security Professional with the Philippine Society of Industrial Security, Buddy began studying Pekiti Tirsia Kali under Tuhon Rommel Tortal in 2002, as a member of the pioneering Manila Pitbulls group. Buddy has participated in many PTK events since then, as part of the cast of the BBC documentary “Mind, Body and Kick-Ass Moves” and the Filipino Martial Arts episode of “Fight Quest”. He has also participated in Military and Police training of various Philippine and foreign units.
In 2007 Tuhon Tortal designated him as the Chief Instructor of the Pekiti Tirsia Manila club. He founded the Pekiti Tirsia Kali group in Turkey in December 2011.

Mike joined the PTK Manila club in early 2008, training under Agalon Buddy Acenas and Agalon Kit Acenas. As with Patch, Mike has also trained under numerous visiting and local high ranking instructors of the system. Recently Mike has been actively teaching new students in the Quezon city area.
